Equal parts 90's death/doom and old school Hellenic black metal. Extremely moody and riffy. Labyrinthine songwriting with an eerie sense of melody. Lots of variation throughout the entire runtime. Eosphoros

Here I am sitting in misery with the migraine of my life, and I think I've found my cure. Mare Cognitum is not just giving me relief from my suffering; it is giving me energy as the pure and unadulterated rage and fury of Solar Paroxysm is being channelled through my body. I really regret not giving Mare Cognitum a second chance earlier, but I can now live at peace knowing that I'm lucky enough to be able to experience such an exhilarating and majestic masterpiece of brutality and therapy.
Son plus bel album ! never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
